New cannabis laws will allow cannabis smoking in multi-unit housing

Bill 26: An Act to Control and Regulate Cannabis passed third reading on November 30th, 2017.  The Alberta Government has decided it will be legal to smoke cannabis products in Alberta homes with no restrictions in any multi-unit housing.  It will be up to property managers to create and enforce smoke-free policies if they want to prohibit cannabis smoking in individual units.  For more information on cannabis legislation in Alberta, see the governments cannabis framework, or read through Bill 26.
